MIS CANCIONES FAVORITAS: HACE 20 AÑOS (1995-I)

Llegamos el cuarto y último miércoles del mes de Febrero y hoy le volvemos a dar la bienvenida en el blog al año musical de 1995, en la sección musical de hace 20 años. Ya en 2010 tuvimos algunas canciones de este año 95 en el segmento de “Hace 15 años”, y en este 2015, este año 1995 nos acompañará de manera bimensual. Para el día de hoy, he querido comenzar este segmento musical con dos recordados temas de película que tuvieron bastante éxito hace 20 años.

1.- HAVE YOU EVER REALLY LOVED A WOMAN? (Bryan Adams).- Luego de transitar exitosamente en la década del 80, el canadiense Bryan Adams entró con pie firme en los 90’s, elevando su popularidad al máximo con el hit “Everything I Do (I Do It For You)” en 1991. Cuatro años después, volvió a hacerse cargo del tema principal de una película y nuevamente alcanzó un enorme éxito en todo el mundo con la canción “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman”, del film “Don Juan deMarco”. Recuerdo que aquí en nuestro medio, se escuchó regular en las diversas emisoras de radio locales y particularmente, fue muy difundida en el programa “Tú, Yo y Mis Discos” de mi entrañable amiga Dianita García. El tema fue escrito por Bryan Adams, Michael Kamen y Robert John "Mutt" Lange, y producido por Adams y Lange. Fue incluido en la banda sonora del film y en el álbum “18 TILL I DIE” de Bryan Adams, y fue lanzada como single el 4 de Abril de 1995, llegando al N° 1 en USA, según Billboard, el 3 de Junio de 1995 y permaneciendo 5 semanas en dicha posición. Además fue N° 1 en Austria, Canadá, Suiza, Australia, en el Eurochart Hot 100 y en el U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks, N° 2 en Bélgica y Holanda, N° 3 en Alemania, Irlanda y Dinamarca, N° 4 en UK, N° 5 en Francia y Noruega, N° 6 en Suecia, N° 7 en Finlandia, N° 9 en Nueva Zelanda y N° 10 en Italia. Es bueno señalar que el tema contó con la participación del famoso guitarrista flamenco Paco de Lucía, quien también apareció en el video. En cuanto al video, fue dirigido por Anton Corbijn y filmado en Málaga, España. Y también recibió una nominación al Oscar como Mejor Canción Original, aunque no llegó a ganar. Finalmente, algo que nunca olvidaré fue haber tenido la dicha de vivirla en concierto en el inolvidable show de Bryan Adams en Lima el 6 de Abril del 2008. 20 años después, volvemos a evocar ésta muy hermosa canción.

2.- HOLD ME, THRILL ME, KISS ME, KILL ME (U2).-  Luego de los exitosos álbumes “ACHTUNG BABY” (1991) y “ZOOROPA” (1993), en 1995, U2 contribuyó con la banda sonora del film “Batman Forever” con la canción “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me”. El film fue un gran éxito en todo el mundo y ello generó que la canción tuviera la misma suerte. Me acuerdo que aquí en nuestro medio, tuve regular difusión, sobre todo, en Doble Nueve y Telestereo. El tema fue escrito por Bono en las letras y por U2 en la música, y su origen se remonta a las sesiones del álbum “ZOOROPA” de 1993, siendo producido por  Nellee Hooper, Bono y The Edge. Fue lanzado como single el 5 de Junio de 1995, llegando al N° 2 en UK y al N° 16 en USA, según Billboard. Además fue N° 1 en Australia, Finlandia, Irlanda, Nueva Zelanda, Noruega, y en el USA Album Rock Tracks y en el USA Modern Rock Tracks, N° 2 en Suecia, N° 3 en Canadá y Austria, N° 4 en Finlandia, N° 5 en Suiza, N° 8 en Alemania, N° 9 en Holanda y N° 10 en Francia. En una entrevista, Bono la describió como que era acerca de estar en una banda de rock y ser una estrella. Y algo que destacó fue su video clip, el cual fue dirigido por Kevin Godley y Maurice Linnane, y en una onda bastante comic. Luego de 20 años, es momento de rememorar éste buen tema de U2.

Este ha sido el primer segmento musical de 1995. Espero que estos dos buenos temas de película hayan sido de su agrado. Como siempre, los espero con sus visitas y comentarios.
