Llegamos al tercer viernes del mes de Agosto del 2016 y hoy toca presentarte el segmento musical dedicado a una canción de los BEE GEES. Para el día de hoy, he querido elegir para ti una canción proveniente del buen álbum “TRAFALGAR”, que en el próximo mes de Setiembre se estará cumpliendo 45 años de haber sido lanzado. Me estoy refiriendo al tema “Israel”, una balada con un ritmo bastante melódico y con un corte algo enigmático, e interpretada magistralmente por parte de Barry, quien le pone harto feeling.

“Israel” fue escrita por Barry Gibb y producida por Robert Stigwood y los Bee Gees. Fue grabada el 7 de Abril de 1971 en los estudios IBC, en Londres, conjuntamente con otros temas como “Trafalgar”, “It’s Just The Way”, “Engines, Aeroplanes” y “Don’t Wanna Live Inside Myself”. Fue incluida en el álbum “TRAFALGAR” y después fue lanzada como single en Mayo de 1972 en Bélgica, Holanda y Nueva Zelanda. Contó con la participación de Geoff Bridgford en la batería y Bill Shepherd en los arreglos orquestales. Y en lo concierne a su performance en concierto, nunca fue interpretada en vivo por el trío ni formó parte del set list de sus shows. Hasta el próximo mes de Setiembre, en donde estaremos celebrando los 70 años de Barry Gibb y tendremos el buen tema “Children Of The World” del álbum “CHILDREN OF THE WORLD”, que también cumplirá 40 años de su lanzamiento.
